Prayer for 2013
Prayer for 2013
Heavenly Father, I thank You for another year and for the New Year of 2013. As we look back on the past year and all that has taken place in our life, we realize that this is a time for reflection as well as celebration as we look forward, we say thank You.
Let us do according to Your good pleasure and purpose, pleasing You in every area of this life. Thank You for Your mercy which makes all things new each morning even after a day of failure.
In our time of need, strengthen us. You are our refuge, our strength, and our shield; You are a very present help in times of trouble.
In this New Year, let us not only be a hearer of Your Word, but also a doer, help us to trust in You rather than be clothed with discouragement. Our hope will be in You to renew our strength. We will not fear, for You are with us. We will not be dismayed or overwhelmed, for You are our God. We know You will help and uphold us with Your righteous hand. We believe this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior, Amen.

A Christmas Prayer
Dear Jesus, It’s a good thing you were born at night. This world sure seems dark. I have a good eye for silver linings. But they seem dimmer lately. These killings, Lord. These children, Lord. Innocence violated. Raw evil demonstrated. The whole world seems on edge. Trigger-happy. Ticked off. We hear threats of chemical weapons and nuclear bombs. Are we one button-push away from annihilation?
Your world seems a bit darker this Christmas. But you were born in the dark, right? You came at night. The shepherds were nightshift workers. The Wise Men followed a star. Your first cries were heard in the shadows.. To see your face, Mary and Joseph needed a candle flame. It was dark. Dark with Herod’s jealousy. Dark with Roman oppression. Dark with poverty. Dark with violence.
Herod went on a rampage, killing babies. Joseph took you and your mom into Egypt. You were an immigrant before you were a Nazarene.
Oh, Lord Jesus, you entered the dark world of your day. Won’t you enter ours? We are weary of bloodshed. We, like the wise men, are looking for a star. We, like the shepherds, are kneeling at a manger. This Christmas, we ask you, heal us, help us. Be born anew in us. Amen…
All I Want for Christmas is Hope
All I Want for Christmas is Hope
Isaiah 9:6
The Christmas holidays are upon us and the gift giving frenzy is in the air. The real meaning of Christmas is not about gifts but hope; Hope for something better.
Our future is uncertain, families are falling apart, drugs are ruining the lives of many, diseases are killing our people, hate is prefer over love, communities are decaying, unemployment is on the rise, the economy is on a roller coaster, wars still rages on, and evil and evil people continue to dominate our world.
Is there any hope? There are many reasons for feeling hopeless, but they will not help a person move closer to a relationship with God.
Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances within one's personal life or the world around them. Hope requires a certain amount of faith that a positive outcome is possible even when there is some evidence to the contrary.
Hope works in powerful ways. It changes our focus, opens our eyes to people and possibilities. Hope takes us out of operating from a place of doubt into a place of faith.
I believe every life and situations we face will improve with a little hope.
Hope that a new day will dawn on the horizon. Hope that new life will spring out of what seems dead and hopeless. Hope that the darkness will turn into light. Hope that despair will turn into joy. This type of hope can shine brighter than the brightest star on the darkest night.
The life of a Christian can be a glorious and hopeful existence even though we may face deprivation, illness, war, social injustices, and death, which are common to the human existence. It is during our trying times in life that Jesus is inviting us to hope. Hope for the best, hope for the impossible to be changed into the possible, hope that life can bring us what we really need or even better. Hope that we can be happy beyond our wildest dreams in face of adversity.
Regardless of the situation in your life there is hope; there is only one hope that can stand against time, trial and tragedy. Only hope that will neither fade away nor crumble. Jesus was born and Jesus alone was resurrected from the dead to guarantee endless hope. With this hope Jesus gives us a new life and we can bring compassion and hope to a dark and hopeless world.
We can bring hope to those without hope, but we also must introduce them to Jesus, who can put eternal hope in their hearts.
Hope for the World is a much needed gift than any thing we can purchase or develop.
Isaiah 9:6 says “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a on is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” In this God has already given mankind the greatest gift for Christmas, which is eternal hope through his Son Jesus Christ. Meaning anything can be accomplished by those who fully put their hope in Christ Jesus.
God did not leave us hopeless; Jesus paid the price to make a new connection with us. Jesus Christ is our Hope; a hope that rests in the promise of eternal life, with God the Father, when Christ comes again.

Why the innocent suffer and the wicked often prosper? Why do people get cancer and aids? Why are there earthquakes and hurricanes that destroy entire cities and communities? And why do people have to work so hard just to have enough money to barely feed and clothed their families? If God is just, then how can this be?
There are answers to these WHY questions and they can be found in the Bible. But they are not the answers most people would like to hear. Don't E-book on Sale
Announcing the Sale of "Don’t" E-book is now on sale for $2.00
“Don’t” Is an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. This e-book is a careful examination as to where we need to be in life. The word DON'T is the standard contraction for do not. There are things in life that we do not need to engage in or associate ourselves with because they can be detrimental to our well being as a whole. We have to come to the realization that a change is needed in our lives and unless we make that change it cannot be done or carry out. So we need to take the time to examine our lives and make sure that we are on the right road toward a more productive and healthy life.

“Just Do It” is an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. is now on sale for $2.00.

Just Do It is an e-book that encourages and enlighten the reader on life tough challenges and to offer some hope and some clear advice to help the reader to change their lives and to be a better and a more productive person in Jesus Christ. In fact, we should stop talking about it and "Just Do It” so that we can make this world a better place for all humanity. The power lies within us all we have to do is “Just Do It”

Announcing the Sale of "97 Steps to a Happy Relationship" E-book for $2.00
97 Steps to a Happy Relationship, an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. is now on sale for $2.00. Dating and marriage is different than it was twenty years ago. In today’s society, more than 50% of all marriages fail for one reason or another. Just thinking about that makes “commitment” seem scary. It seems that when relationships are faced with challenges, people quit trying. Dating is more like marathon, trying to date as many people as possible, instead of taking time to get to know someone at a deeper level. For married couples, divorce is not biased. Whether married for thirty years or eight months, the outcome can be the same. The fact is that relationships, whether dating or married, are hard. Things do not always go perfectly, fighting does occur, and it takes a 100% commitment from both parties to make it a success. Often when people break off a relationship, they feel as though something is missing.
The “spark” has gone, leaving one or both people feeling inadequate and unfulfilled. However, even though the odds are not very good, healthy, and long-lasting relationships are definitely possible and proven by many people. Look at Paul Newman and Joanne Woodard, Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman, or Nancy and Ronald Reagan. What secrets do they possess? The answer is that they all work hard at their relationship. They made a decision of choosing to love their mate rather than relying on the “warm and fuzzy” feelings, which everyone knows will fade. By making love a choice you are making a decision that even in the bad times, you stick it out. Think of it like choosing a car. You pick out the make, model, year, color, and features that you believe are best for you. After driving your car for a couple of months, you realize that perhaps you should have purchased a larger car, or that maybe the leather seats would have been better, or on hot sunny days, the sunroof would have been nice.
However, it is now too late so you choose to keep your car and make it work. It is the same for marriage. Not everything will be perfect and there will be major obstacles to overcome but you have made your decision and now you choose to make it work. There are hundreds of things you can do to better your relationship. To help get you headed in the right direction, we have chosen 97 ways to build, strengthen, and enhance your relationship. Remember, little steps taken every day will add up to big successes.

Announcing the Sale of "Opening Your Heart: How Helping Others And Volunteering Really Helps You" E-book for $2.00
“Opening Your Heart: How Helping Others And Volunteering Really Helps You” an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. is now on sale for $2.00.
Why Changing Your Mindset Can Change Your Life! In This Book, You Will Learn: Volunteering Basics, Less Fortunate And Disabled Kids, The Aged, Your Community,
Helping Others Via Your Occupation, And so much more!
Volunteering is a selfless way to dedicate your time to work with individuals who are less fortunate than you are. It's a chance to use your skills as well as having new experiences.
Actually, being a volunteer isn’t about you-it is about the community or individuals you're dedicating your time to, but there's no escaping the fact that volunteering enriches you as a individual and holds a enduring impression on you for the rest of your life. Dedicating your time and skills, changes your thoughts and values and it shifts the way you see the world. Get all the info you need here.
The love and appreciation that will be reciprocated as a result of you working with others will live long in your thoughts and will have a favorable influence and may even transform your outlook on life and the way you carry on your life in the future.
The beginning step in the volunteering procedure is to do your research. Spending time sourcing assorted companies and gaining a true understanding of their mission statement is really crucial. You need to share the same opinions and values and be passionate about how you're going to be working for them.
During your volunteer regimen be ready to express joy, cry and be dismayed. If you're abroad you'll be on a rollercoaster of emotions and the local individuals who you're aiding will open your eyes to how simple life truly is. It's astonishing to see how individuals with so little may still be so satisfied with what they have. It makes you see how superficial individuals may be in the contemporary world.

Announcing the Sale of "How?" E-book
How? is an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. is now on sale for $2.00.
How is a short e-book that attempts to enlighten the reader on life tough challenges and to offer some hope and some clear advice to help the reader to live a better and a more productive fulfill life in Jesus Christ.
At the moment we invite Jesus to come into our heart, accepting Him and all He has done for us, the Holy Spirit imports eternal life to our dead spirit, causing us to be "born again," born of the Spirit. This is how we draw close to God and draw others to His saving grace in Jesus Christ. Through this act God transforms our lives, which will last forever and bring us to the beauty of heaven.
How is this done? There are answers to these How questions and they can be found in the Bible. But they are not the answers most people would like to hear. How will help you answer these questions and to find the strength to face each day with hope and courage. Through a life of Faith, Jesus lives in us and we live in him. “If” is an E-book by Dr. Christopher Handy, Ph.D. is now on sale for $2.00.

Such as the type of life we are to have, who we are going to date, attending Church or Worship services regularly, reading our bibles daily, and praying daily. Being kind to each another and loving each another. If we visited the sick, if we cared for the poor and needy. If we prayed for peace, but what we really need is to Just Do It! In fact, we should stop talking about it and Just Do It so that we can make this world a better place for all humanity. The power lies within us, it can’t be done unless we do it and do it now.

Announcing the Sale of "The Black Pearl" E-book for $1.00
The collection of three stories under a joint name “The Black Pearl” is based on my notes from travelling around Italy. Each of the characters met by me tells me a moving history of his or hers life. When talking to me they experience a particular catharsis: spiritual and emotional cleanse, they release emotions, and they seem to want to tame the sometimes pointless chaos of their lives... The need to confide stems from the internal need of sorting one’s thoughts. Every one of us needs understanding and affection. All of the stories are naturally brought to order by life, it puts them into a coherent wholeness. I invite you to read the stories; I hope that you will find a part of yourselves in them. "Why I Believe in the Resurrection"
"Why I Believe in the Resurrection"
St. John 11:25-26
I am convinced! I have faith that Christ was dead and He was buried. That I believe. But, this too I accept as true: He rose from the dead and will come again in glory. In the cross we see what God has promised to do for those who believe in Jesus Christ. But what happened to Jesus will happen to all believers. He suffered, and He arose. We will suffer, and we will rise.
The cross represents our commitment to the Lord by following His example and obeying His word. There will be times when the cross will seems heavy, but most of the time we will hardly notice the burden. Jesus walked right up to the cross and took on the sins of world. We owe him everything, including our very own existence. A true disciple gladly gives up all that he has in exchange for an unending life of joy and happiness with God. The joy He offers, no sadness or loss can diminish. The cross of Christ leads to Victory and Freedom from sin and death. The cross was a real and live illustration of love. This is the true meaning of Easter!
Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter never fails us, even in the worst of times, amidst destruction, death, and despair. Easter arrives as surely as daybreak, boldly proclaiming the message of renewal and hope. The world was never and will never be the same again after the resurrection. Jesus’ blood stained linen wrappings and the empty tomb ushered in a completely different era of a brave new beginning. The message of love, faith and hope still echoes across the globe, from the devastation of hurricanes, tornados earthquakes, floods, to the genocide of the poor and defenselessly around the world.
Through this we must realize that without God, everything becomes impossible. Easter declares: "With God, everything becomes possible."
This means hope to our world; hope transcends our limitations and triumphs over our worst fears. Easter symbolizes the kind of tragic optimism that cannot be crushed by all the forces of darkness including death.
Jesus explains to us why it’s so important to follow him. Nothing is more important to God than our eternal soul, neither riches nor pleasure nor intellectual pride. If we aren’t willing to deny ourselves, we are not true followers of Christ. Nothing should be more important to us than God. Jesus knows that no human being is qualified to follow Him until they have first died to this old life. Jesus knows that mankind cannot live until they have died and been raised to life again. Jesus therefore bids us to die to self right away, so that He may raise us from the dead by His Indwelling Spirit and place us immediately upon the correct path.
In Jesus, mankind was able to see goodness and love demonstrated even toward those who persecuted Him. Sin was overcome through a love that gave all. This is the meaning and the message of the cross, the message we too are to take to our world.
Jesus did not come to merely tell us how to live, or even to merely show us how to live. He came to be our Life. Jesus allowed people to see what God is like. He not only taught truth, He lived it.
As Christians we should be driven by our love for Jesus Christ to get involved in the lives of others. This is what Jesus did when He died on the cross. Anytime a believer suffers in order to obey and serve God, he is losing his life that he may gain it. Jesus says in St. John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in Me, though He were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”

Can I get an Amen?
As God begins to bless you, don’t let people intimidate you. Don’t let them stop you from celebrating the goodness of the Lord and what God did in your life. Be like the blind man in St. John 9:1-42, who was old enough to speak for himself and say, “The Lord brought me from a mighty long way.” Can I get an Amen? If the Lord has brought you from a mighty long way and is still with you.
